Oman’s Visa Service : Travelers who visit Oman should hold a visa before they travel to any region of Oman. It is excused only to visitors from visa spared places. Tourist Visa

Tourist visas are permitted by the authorized supremacy to individual visitors who visit Oman for exploring its tourism. The visitors can get into Oman, stay there for about 30 days. Family Residence Visa

Family visa or so called family residence visa is given for foreign national’s family who are employed in companies or running any firms in Oman. It includes only parents, children and spouses. Family visa is provided by companies or sponsors to whom they work with or it is granted by his own responsibility. Validation stands for years which can be continued by renewal according to the sponsors. Documents for family visa to be provided are mentioned here, Passport size photographs in two for each person in the family. Passport copy of every individual in the family which has further validity period. The Ministry of Commerce has to provide a specimen signature done by an authorized person and its copy should be submitted. Passport copy of foreign resident who lives in Oman already is also to be given. Mentioning your relationship with each individual is necessary.

Employment Visa

Employment visas are issued in requisition of a sponsor who is residing locally. This person is solely responsible for the foreign national who enters Oman to seek jobs. He/She should not be less than 21 years old. Localite sponsors must be represented and that localite should possess all legal things. Validity of this kind of visa is 3 months from issue date. Sponsor should sign and stamp the application. Wordings should be written in english language for non arabs and in Arabic language for arab based nationals.

When these procedures are followed, an Oman employment visa will be issued under some documents. They are, Passport copy of visitor which has 6 months validation and not less than that. Passport sized photograph has to be given in two Employment permit equipped and provided by the Manpower ministry of Oman. If no sponsor is represented in the visa application form, you must present a local Omani national who is authorized by the Directorate of Passport and residence. This can be done under a request from the sponsor. Countries such as India, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Syria, Sudan, Egypt issue certificates of medical fitness to its citizens. It is provided by the respective regions’ Ministry of medical health. Application fee costs Omani Riyal 20 for employment visa in Oman.

Official visa

Visas for official visits are issued to foreign nationals at the proposal of any government bodies. Validity stands upto three months from issued date and easily can be expanded for the required time. Apply online through the e-application mentioned in their websites to get your official visiting visa. Similar to all the other visas we’ve come across, this visa also needs to be signed and stamped by the respective sponsorship authority or government body. Letters should be in Arabic for arabian nationalities and in English for non arabic individuals. Provide the documents listed here, Passport copy of visitor and the passport must have another six month validation. Additionally, two passport-sized photographs must be included with the application. Furthermore, a comprehensive statement of purpose must be provided in a letter from the sponsor government body. It’s worth noting that the application fee for an official visiting visa is 20 Omani Riyals.

Visa for friend/relative

Friend / relative visas are issued for the friends and relatives of Omani nationals who are residing out of Oman. They are the sponsors and holding responsibility.
