3 Business Licenses That Do Not Require Physical Office Spaces

  1. Dubai Virtual Company License
  2. Abu Dhabi Virtual License
  3. Abu Dhabi Tajeer eCommerce License

This article has all the information you need about the three types of business licenses that don’t require a physical office space. Read on to learn about the different licenses and decide which one is best for you.

Dubai Virtual Company License

The Dubai Virtual Company License is in line with the third article of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s 50-year charter to build a virtual commercial city in the UAE. Foreign businesses from more than 112 countries can apply for a Dubai virtual license. It covers the main industries, such as the creative industries, technology, and services.

With this virtual license, aspiring entrepreneurs and investors can run businesses like fashion and jewellery design, online marketing, blogging, trading, etc. without needing a physical office space.

You can run and set up a Dubai-registered virtual business with a Dubai Virtual Company License. With the Dubai Virtual Company License, you don’t have to live in the UAE or even be there to register a virtual business.

If your virtual company makes more than $100,000 per year in the UAE, your company will have to pay the 5% VAT, or value added tax, in the UAE. This means that the person who has the Dubai Virtual License must register the business with the Federal Tax Authority of the UAE.

One important thing to know about the Dubai Virtual Company License is that it does not guarantee that any of the company members will get a visa to visit, do business, or live in the UAE. When you open a bank account in the United Arab Emirates, you have to follow the same rule.

The Dubai Economic Department also offers an instant license for some activities that don’t require a physical office. Please tell us what you need to set up your business, and we’ll offer free consultation on the best business structure.

You can find details about the Dubai Virtual Company License. On the official site for Dubai’s Virtual Commercial City.

Abu Dhabi Virtual License

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) created the Abu Dhabi Virtual License last year so that foreign investors who are not Emirati could get a business license without having to be in the United Arab Emirates.

The Abu Dhabi Virtual License covers a wide range of business activities in 13 areas.

  1. Agriculture
  2. Repair
  3. Manufacturing
  4. Contracting
  5. Maintenance
  6. Installations
  7. Retail trade
  8. Transport
  9. Services
  10. Leasing services
  11. Health and entertainment events
  12. Wholesale trade
  13. Import and export

Foreign investors can apply for this virtual license, which gives them full ownership of a sole proprietorship L.L.C. or limited liability company in the UAE.

Visit the Abu Dhabi Business Centre’s website and choose “Abu Dhabi Virtual License” if you want to apply for an Abu Dhabi Virtual License.

Abu Dhabi Tajeer eCommerce License

UAE citizens who want to sell things on social media or start an online business must apply to the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development for an Abu Dhabi Tajeer eCommerce License (ADDED).

With this license, business owners can add their online businesses to the licenses they already have, or they can get a new license to do business on social media networks and websites. Owners of electronic trade licenses can also use the license’s eCommerce mark and serial number to promote their products online.

With this license, residents of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can start a business for three years without having a physical office space. They can also apply for more than a thousand business activities that are approved by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED).

In 2018, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) made the Abu Dhabi Tajeer eCommerce License package available to all UAE residents and GCC nationals under the following legal forms:

  • One-person company for GCC nationals and Emiratis; limited liability company (LLC) for residents in partnership with the Emirates for GCC nationals and Emiratis

Dubai’s Estidama License

The Dubai Department of Economic Development (DDED) used to require that businesses in Dubai rent a physical office space before they could get a DED trade license.

But now, the Dubai Department of Economic Development has let companies in the UAE use the Estidama Virtual Lease option for smaller companies with few employees to set up a company with a physical office space.

Since getting a physical office space can be expensive, the Estidama Licence lets you get a virtual office space from a licenced business centre in the UAE. This virtual office space has full facilities and free administrative services that you can use. This license lets your employees work from anywhere, but your company will still have a physical address, a P.O. box, a conference room, and a receptionist because business centres in Dubai offer all these office-related services for free.
