What it actually costs
Company Formation Fees & Costs in Oman
Oman is often cheaper to enter than its neighbours. The recurring costs, especially employment, deserve as much attention as the setup.

Count the running cost, not just the entry
Registration in Oman is comparatively inexpensive. What shapes the real number is premises, headcount, Omanisation obligations and social insurance once you hire — which is why we quote the first year, not just the setup.
- Government fees and our fees always separated
- First-year running costs set out
- Written quote before anything is filed
Mainland, free zone and offshore jurisdictions we file in — so the recommendation is based on your activity, not on which authority we happen to be registered with.

What moves the number
Six things that decide your Omani cost
Two companies in the same sector can differ substantially.
| Driver | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Activity | Some activities carry capital requirements or sector approvals with their own cost. |
| Mainland or free zone | Zones bundle premises and incentives; mainland suits local selling. |
| Premises | The municipal licence attaches to real premises, so the lease is part of the cost. |
| Headcount | Visas, social insurance and Omanisation obligations are the main recurring item. |
| Corporate shareholder | Attestation and legalisation are incurred abroad and vary widely by country. |
| Sector approvals | Regulated activities carry their own fees and timetables. |
Government fees and contribution rates are set by the Omani authorities and change. We quote the current figures for your activity in writing before anything is filed.
How we quote
From enquiry to a written quote
No number before the activity is understood.
Understand the plan
Activity, shareholders, headcount, premises and timeline. That determines what the setup will actually involve.
Price it properly
Priced against current schedules, with approvals added and our service fee set. Government charges and our fee listed separately.
Quote, then file
You get it in writing and nothing is filed until you accept. Fee changes before filing are flagged, not absorbed quietly.

Questions
Oman setup costs — FAQs
Is Oman cheaper than the UAE?
Entry costs are often lower, particularly for mainland registration. Over a first year the comparison narrows once premises and employment are counted, which is why we quote both.
What are the recurring costs?
Registration and licence renewals, premises, social insurance once you hire, and accounting and tax filing. We set these out alongside the setup quote.
Do I need capital in the bank?
Requirements have been reduced for most activities, though some sectors still carry them. We confirm before you transfer anything.
Are free zones cheaper?
Sometimes, and they bundle premises, but they restrict selling into the local market. The right comparison depends on where your customers are.
Can the price change after I accept?
Our service fee is fixed once agreed. Government fees are set by the authorities; changes before filing are flagged to you.
