Filings, not renewals
Company Filings & Changes in the United Kingdom
A UK company is never renewed. It is kept alive by filing, and struck off if you stop.

There is nothing to renew
Businesses from licence-based jurisdictions look for the UK renewal and cannot find it, because there is none. A UK company continues indefinitely provided it files. Stop filing and Companies House will begin striking it off, which is a worse outcome than an expired licence.
- Every deadline on one calendar
- Changes filed within their time limits
- Strike-off risk flagged before it starts
Mainland, free zone and offshore jurisdictions we file in — so the recommendation is based on your activity, not on which authority we happen to be registered with.

What we handle
Ongoing filings and company changes
Most changes have a time limit for notifying Companies House.
| Item | What it involves | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmation statement | Confirming the company’s details are up to date | At least annually |
| Annual accounts | Accounts filed with Companies House | Annual, by your deadline |
| Corporation Tax return | The return filed with HMRC | Annual, separate deadline |
| Director changes | Appointments, resignations and detail changes | Notified within a time limit |
| Share and PSC changes | Allotments, transfers and control changes | Notified within a time limit |
| Registered office change | Moving the official address | Notified promptly; the address must be capable of receiving post |
Filing deadlines, notification periods and the registered-office rules are set by Companies House and HMRC and change. Yours are confirmed and tracked.
How it works
Keeping the company compliant
The aim is that no deadline is ever a surprise.
Review and calendar
We take your incorporation date, accounting reference date and current filing position, and build one calendar. Anything overdue is dealt with first.
File as they fall due

Changes as they happen
Director, shareholder, PSC and address changes filed within their notification periods, and the statutory registers updated.

Questions
UK filings and changes — FAQs
Do I renew a UK company?
No. There is no renewal. The company continues provided you file, which is a different mental model from a licence that expires.
What happens if I stop filing?
Companies House will begin strike-off proceedings and the company can be dissolved, with its assets passing to the Crown. Restoring it afterwards is possible but costly.
What is the confirmation statement?
An annual confirmation that the details on the register — directors, PSCs, shareholding, address — are correct. It is not a set of accounts.
How quickly must I report a director change?
There is a notification period, and it is short. Late notification is a compliance failure, so changes are filed as they happen rather than batched.
Can you take over a company someone else formed?
Yes. We review the filing position, deal with anything overdue, and run the calendar from there.
