For overseas parent companies
Foreign Company Subsidiary Registration in Oman
An Omani subsidiary is its own company, owned by your parent, and can be licensed for activities the parent does not carry out.
GCC business setup specialists
Separate company, parent paperwork
The subsidiary itself registers like any Omani LLC. What makes it a project is the parent file — registration certificate, constitutional documents and a board resolution, each attested and legalised before anyone here will accept them.
- Subsidiary or branch decided on activity and liability
- Parent attestation chain mapped for your country
- Registration run through the official portal
Mainland, free zone and offshore jurisdictions we file in — so the recommendation is based on your activity, not on which authority we happen to be registered with.

Questions
Oman subsidiary registration — FAQs
Subsidiary or branch?
If the Omani entity will do something the parent is not licensed for, or you want liability ring-fenced, a subsidiary usually fits. If you are delivering the parent’s existing work, a branch may.
Can the parent own 100%?
For most activities, yes, under the Foreign Capital Investment Law. A reserved list remains, which we check.
How long does attestation take?
It depends on your country and is the usual cause of delay. We map the chain at quote stage so it starts immediately.
Does the parent need audited accounts?
Less commonly than in Saudi Arabia, but it depends on the activity and structure. We confirm before you start collecting.
Can the subsidiary sponsor employees?
Yes, once employer registration is complete, subject to Omanisation obligations.
