Paperwork, in the right order
Incorporation Documents & Attestation in UAE
Documents issued outside the UAE usually need attesting and legalising before anyone here will accept them. That chain, not the filing, is what sets your timeline.

The step everyone underestimates
A UAE filing takes days. Getting a board resolution attested in another country can take weeks, and it cannot be hurried from here. Which is why we tell you the chain for your country on day one, not when the authority rejects the file.
- Attestation chain mapped for your specific country
- Checklist issued before you start collecting
- Notarisation and translation handled here
Mainland, free zone and offshore jurisdictions we file in — so the recommendation is based on your activity, not on which authority we happen to be registered with.

The chain
How a document issued abroad becomes usable here
Each link is done in order, and skipping one means starting again.
| Stage | Where it happens | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Issue | Country of origin | The document exists and is in proper form |
| Notarisation | Country of origin | A notary has verified signatures or the copy |
| Government attestation | Country of origin | The relevant ministry confirms the notary |
| UAE mission attestation | UAE embassy or consulate abroad | The UAE recognises the chain so far |
| Ministry attestation | In the UAE | Final confirmation once the document arrives |
| Legal translation | In the UAE | An approved Arabic translation, where required |
The exact chain depends on the issuing country and the receiving authority, and some countries follow a different route. Yours is confirmed in writing before you begin.
How it works
Getting the file ready
We would rather spend an hour on the checklist than three weeks on a rejection.
Checklist for your structure
You get a document list specific to your shareholders, your entity type and your authority — not a generic list that half applies.
Attestation abroad
We map the chain for each country involved and tell you what to instruct locally. This runs while the UAE-side work is prepared.
Notarisation and translation here
Memorandum drafting, notarisation and approved Arabic translation completed in the UAE, and the file assembled for submission.

Questions
UAE documents and attestation — FAQs
Why does attestation take so long?
Because each link happens in a different office, often in a different city, and none of them can be chased from the UAE. Starting it on day one rather than day twenty is the only real lever.
Can I use an apostille instead?
It depends on the issuing country and the receiving authority. Some routes accept it, others still require consular legalisation. We confirm which applies to your country before you instruct anyone.
Do documents expire?
Many authorities will only accept documents issued or attested within a recent window, and certificates of good standing in particular go stale. We sequence collection so nothing expires while something else is pending.
Who can translate documents?
Translation into Arabic must usually be done by a legal translator approved in the UAE. A translation done abroad, however good, is often not accepted.
What if a document is rejected?
Usually a link in the chain was missed or a detail does not match the passport spelling. We identify which, and tell you what has to be redone rather than resubmitting hopefully.
