Paid on time, recorded properly
Payroll & Employer Compliance in UAE
Payroll here is a compliance process as much as a payment one. Salaries generally have to be paid through an approved channel, on time, and evidenced.

Where payroll quietly goes wrong
Small companies often pay salaries by bank transfer from whatever account is convenient, keep no payslips, and never accrue end-of-service. Each is fine until an inspection, a dispute or a departure — and then all three surface at once.
- Salaries paid through the required channel, on time
- End-of-service accrued monthly, not discovered later
- Payslips and records that survive a dispute
Mainland, free zone and offshore jurisdictions we file in — so the recommendation is based on your activity, not on which authority we happen to be registered with.

What we run
The payroll cycle
What applies depends on whether you are mainland or in a free zone with its own regime.
| Element | What it involves | Rhythm |
|---|---|---|
| Salary calculation | Basic, allowances, overtime, deductions and unpaid leave applied correctly | Monthly |
| Salary transfer | Payment through the approved channel your authority requires, within the period allowed | Monthly |
| Payslips | An itemised record issued to each employee | Monthly |
| End-of-service accrual | The entitlement built up and carried in your accounts as it accrues | Monthly |
| Leave records | Annual, sick and unpaid leave tracked against entitlement | Ongoing |
| Final settlement | Calculated when employment ends, including accrued entitlements | On exit |
Salary transfer requirements, leave entitlements and end-of-service calculations are set by law and by your authority, and change. What applies to you is confirmed in writing.
How it works
Setting payroll up and running it
The setup month is where the compliance is won.
Set up
Employees, contracts, salary structures and leave entitlements captured, and the salary transfer channel your authority requires put in place.
Run monthly
Salaries calculated, transfers prepared for approval, payslips issued, and end-of-service accrued into the accounts rather than left as a future surprise.
Handle exits
Final settlements calculated, accrued entitlements included, and the records kept so the calculation can be evidenced if it is ever questioned.

Questions
UAE payroll — FAQs
Do I have to pay salaries through a specific system?
Mainland employers are generally required to pay through an approved salary transfer channel, within a set period. Some free zones operate their own regime. We confirm which applies before the first run.
What happens if salaries are paid late?
Late or unevidenced payment can trigger penalties and can affect your ability to process permits and renewals. It is one of the few compliance areas where the consequence is immediate.
How is end-of-service calculated?
It is based on length of service and salary components, under rules set by law and your authority. The important part is accruing it monthly so it is funded, rather than meeting it in full at an exit.
Do I need to issue payslips?
You should, and you should keep them. In a dispute, the itemised record is what establishes what was paid and why — its absence is almost always the employer’s problem.
Can you run payroll for one employee?
Yes. The obligations largely apply from the first hire, which is exactly when companies are least set up to meet them.
