Company Documents & Attestation in Qatar

Attestation is the long pole

Company Documents & Attestation in Qatar

Foreign documents used in Qatar must be legalised and translated. This is where most timelines slip.

GCC business setup specialists

Get the chain right the first time

Parent company documents need legalisation through a chain of authorities in the country of origin and then certification in Qatar, followed by certified Arabic translation. A document legalised in the wrong order, or translated before final legalisation, has to be done again from the start.

  • The correct attestation chain for your country of origin
  • Translation sequenced after legalisation, not before
  • A single document set used across every application

Questions

Qatar documents and attestation — FAQs

Why does attestation take so long?

Because it runs through several authorities in the country of origin before certification in Qatar, and each step has its own processing time.

Can I translate documents first?

No. Translation follows final legalisation. Translating early is the most common way documents have to be redone.

Does the chain differ by country?

Yes, significantly. We confirm the exact sequence for each country your documents come from before anything is sent.

Do passports need attestation?

Generally copies suffice with originals sighted, while corporate documents require the full chain.

What if a document is rejected?

Usually the chain was incomplete, the translation preceded legalisation, or the document has expired. We identify the point of failure and fix it.
