Company Setup Costs & Fees in Kuwait

Kuwaiti registration fees are modest. Premises and the per-worker manpower costs are what set the annual figure.

GCC business setup specialists

Model the headcount, not just the licence

Setup quotes here tend to cover name reservation, notarisation and registration, which are the smaller numbers. The figure that matters is annual: commercial premises in the right category, the charges attaching to each expatriate work permit, and the attestation of foreign corporate documents at the start. We quote the first year and the recurring year separately.

  • First-year and annual figures both quoted up front
  • Per-worker and premises costs modelled on your actual plan
  • Exclusions listed rather than buried

How we quote

Getting a figure you can budget with

Two numbers, modelled on your headcount.

01

Understand the setup

Route, activity, premises requirement and — critically — how many expatriate staff you intend to employ.

02

Quote both years

First-year total and the recurring annual total, with government fees, premises and per-worker charges shown separately.

03

Then proceed

Nothing starts until you have the figure in writing and have agreed it.

Questions

Kuwait setup costs — FAQs

What is the biggest cost of a Kuwaiti company?

Usually premises, followed by the charges attaching to expatriate work permits. Registration fees themselves are modest by comparison.

Does the ownership route change the cost?

Yes. The direct investment licence route carries its own fees and a longer assessment, while the default route brings partner arrangements instead.

Why is attestation expensive?

Foreign corporate documents require legalisation through a chain of authorities plus certified Arabic translation, charged per document.

What recurs annually?

Commercial registration and municipal licence renewals, Chamber membership, premises rent, work permit charges and any sector licence.

Will fees change?

Government fees and permit charges are revised periodically. We notify you before renewal rather than after.
